It was always our intention to leave the UK destination, Caribbean. That is now fact. We have travelled more than 5000 miles from the UK, through France, Northern Spain, Portugal, to the Canaries, the Cape Verdes Islands before crossing the Atlantic. We made landfall in Antigua where we stayed for 3 months before heading south to Grenada to sit out hurricane season. So you could say that progress has stopped for the now at least. As to what next, who knows…

30th July – depart Topsham, Devon, UK.
7th August – English channel crossing
19th August – Depart France / Biscay crossing / arrive Northern Spain
6th September – Depart Spain / Arrive in Portugal
11th September – Leixoes, Portugal – nearly shipwrecked!
28th September – Arrive Caiscais, Portugal (actual arrival date 24th September)
27 October – Arrive Canaries
2015
15th February – Arrive Cape Verdes Islands (actual arrival date 6th Feb)
23rd February – Carnival, Cape Verdes Islands
1st March – eve of departure – Atlantic crossing
17th April – Atlantic crossing (actual dates 2nd – 18th March – took a month to write it up!)
11th May – Antigua Raceweek and International Cricket
